Hatha (Haht-ha) yoga also known as a slow flow is a variation of vinyasa yoga.
Poses are typically held longer, anywhere from 30 seconds to 1 minute, sometimes longer.
The overall pace of the class is slower so it can present as a calmer, yet energizing environment.
Hatha yoga can be considered and isometric exercise because you are holding a position without moving your muscles which strengthens a specific muscle or group of muscles.
Hatha emphasizes controlled, conscious breathing. This will help expand your lung capcity, strengthening your lungs, increasing your endurance, Improving your oxygenated blood circulation and allowing for overall better physical performance.
